Be Your First Priority
YOU ARE IMPORTANT. TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF.
You know how when you are listening to the safety instructions on an airplane, and they instruct you to put on your own oxygen mask before helping your children and loved ones? This is true off the airplane too; on the runway of life. In order to help others, to really truly make a difference in others lives, we need to help ourselves first.
Take a look at your life. Are you your first priority? It is not a selfish thing to do. It shows wisdom and respect. Take care of you, then reach out your hands to impact the lives of others.
“Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it’s at the end of your arm. As you get older, remember you have another hand: the first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.” — Audrey Hepburn
